Dr Sharon was born and raised in the Netherlands. He trained as a Pediatrician at the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital in Utrecht, The Netherlands. He subsequently finished one year of fellowship in Pediatric Oncology at the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary, Alberta.  Dr. Sharon is currently the President of the Pediatric Section of the Alberta Medical Association. He is a Member at Large of the Executive of the Community Pediatrics Section of the Canadian Pediatric Society. He is also a member of the QI Collaborative of the Autism Speaks/ATN network, and is the Co-Chair of the PCP committee of the ATN (Autism Treatment Network).. He is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Dr Sharon has a private practice in the Westend of Edmonton. He has a general pediatric practice, with special interest in autism.  He visits Bonnyville as a Consultant Specialist.
